"Besides being a great musician skilled in many genres of music, he is a great collaborator and friend, someone who truly cares about the film being the best possible movie, and pushes himself to create the perfect score. There is no doubt in my mind that his scores will bring my films to life, and make the result a hundred times better than I can imagine. That is George’s gift, his uncanny ability to provide audiences with that final element that makes them laugh, smile, feel frightened, or cry."
- Benjamin Williams, Director (J-OK'EL, Loch Ness Monster)

"Among the many composers’ demos I listened to, George’s was by far the most musically adept, emotional and sophisticated. His music has the ability to tell a story in of itself, a quality that filmmakers highly treasure, and is rare. As soon as I met George in person, the deal was sealed. Not only was George absolutely charming and easygoing, he has intelligence and warmth that surrounds his undeniable ambition and drive. When we discussed the philosophy and approach we take towards artistic storytelling – that conveying a depth and range of feeling was paramount – it was clear we were destined to work together."
- NaRhee Ahn, Director (Purity)

"George is a pro. His creativity and mastery of composition is matched only by his punctuality and attention to detail. George's eclectic, adaptive, and often hypnotizing compositions never fail to tantalize audiences and enhance our cinematic vision. It is always a pleasure working with him and I am thrilled every time I receive the finished product!"
- Jeremy Pollack, Director (Chandler Hall, Perfect Sec-Illusion), Producer (The Dry Route)

"It's easy to tell from just a few measures of George's music that he has a talent and flair for composition. He has a knack for using his music to bring out the hidden greatness of a scene. But what you can't tell from his music -- and I only hope you'll get to experience this yourself -- is that George Show is both impeccably professional and an amazing collaborator."
- Keith Calder, Co-Director (Under Pressure)

"Working with George was fantastic, like butter even, meaning everything went amazingly smooth. George was able to interpret our intentions and desires as directors and wrote a beautifully intuitive score that gave the film more weight than we could have ever hoped for. Most amazing, was that he delivered the score in a timely manner, something that is rare in this business and should be cherished."
- Dan Balgoyen, Co-Director (Under Pressure)

"The range and variety of Shaw's music is extraordinary. George's styles showcases the thoughtfulness and craftsmanship of a composer with a keen understanding of the dynamics of musical storytelling."
- Matt Eskandari, Director (The Taking)

"George is a gifted composer and a consummate professional. His creative and musical instincts demonstrate a seldom-seen understanding of the relationship between movie and score. I've worked with him twice so far and intend to do so again!"
- Steven Kung, Director (Spew, Only At the Orpheum)

"The score for our film, The Kidnapping of Ingrid Betancourt (HBO/Cinemax 2003) is an amazing mix of passionate and haunting music composed and conducted by George Shaw. Working with Shaw, we were awestruck by his ability to absorb the feeling of a specific scene and compose the perfect music to enhance what we were trying to convey. George came through for us on what was a incredibly tight deadline and wrote music that is timeless and beautifully appropriate for the emotional rollercoaster that our film takes a viewer on. There is an ambush scene in our film that is spectacularly composed with a biting tension. And when our title character is kidnapped, the music Shaw composed to accompany the scenes of her family's reaction is chilling and devastating. We can't imagine working with another composer or conductor after being spoiled by the intense professionalism and creativity of George Shaw."
- Victoria Bruce & Karin Hayes, Producers/Directors (Kidnapping of Ingrid Bettancourt)

"I’ve hired George Shaw for two very different projects, and both times, he stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. For those directors or producers that have a hard time describing exactly what kind of music they want from a composer will be amazed at how George somehow just "gets it”. He’ll work with your director and give you a professional score you can be proud of. Producers can rest easy after hiring George, because he gets the job done in an efficient, stress-free manner. I’ve got two fantastic scores to prove it."
- Dikran Ornekian, Producer (Kukri, The Black Cat)

"Working with George was a pleasure and the highlight of the filmmaking process. I've always been a close study of film scores and the entire scoring community, so I had high expectations. George met every one of them composing a brilliant set of musical pieces. He clearly has an understanding and appreciation of the history and the process of film scoring, but also has what few others possess-an original voice. He's clearly respected by his peers and can put together the elements needed to see a score through to its completion."
- Winston Pear, Director (The Black Cat)
