Treasure of the Templars is a feature-length Indiana Jones fan film
that has been 4 years in the making (and counting). A true labor of
love, the film was made on a shoestring budget by an unlikely
convergence of pros and non-pros.
The film was shot in three countries,
and boasts impressive production values. The film features an
orchestral score by composer George Shaw, who attributes his love of
film music to an early discovery of John Williams' music, which began
at his very first visit to a movie theater as a youngster, the movie
playing on that screen was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
George is thrilled to be composing in the style of an old fashioned
Indiana Jones adventure, and is currently composing the score as visual
effects shots are completed. Plans are to release a soundtrack album
upon completion of the film, with one label already interested in doing
a release.
In keeping with the tradition established by John Williams, he is
writing a number of themes for various characters and situations. Here
is a listing of the themes written so far, which are introduced in the
first quarter of the film.
