- ASIAN STORIES LA
Theatrical Release: ASIAN STORIES, the winner of the
2006 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival's Audience Award, opens at
the ImaginAsian Center for a one-week run starting July 25, in advance
of its DVD release in September. The film stars James Kyson Lee
(HEROES) and Kathy Uyen as a mismatched couple staying two steps ahead
of disaster. George, along with the cast and
crew, will be attending the July 25th premiere. Here's the theatre info

Film & TV Music Awards Nominations: The Film and TV
Music Academy recently announced nominees for the 2007 Film & TV
Music Awards. George received nominations in 3 Categories: Best Score
for an Indie Feature Film (J-OK'EL), Short Film (Hit Me), and Student
Film (The Revengers).

Park City Film Music Festival: George Shaw was awarded
a Gold Medal for Artistic Excellence
for his
musical score to the feature-length horror film “J-OK’EL” at the fourth
annual PARK CITY FILM MUSIC FESTIVAL (pcFMF), held in Park City, Utah
in January 2007. The pcFMF is the first film festival in the world
singularly recognizing the contribution of composers and their music to
film. The Gold Medal for Artistic Excellence is their highest honor.
